Nea Plagia is a large settlement of the prefecture of Chalkidiki. The area is inhabited since prehistoric times, as shown by the tumulus, where settlements were located at that time. The inhabitants are refugees, coming from the Plaka of Eastern Thrace. They came and settled in the place where they are today after 1922. The historical sights of the area include the 18th-century bridge, located in the stream of the settlement with Nea Tenedo.
